I wrote a couple weeks ago on Unbound Thresh and I wanted to provide a quick update as patch 11.15 is now live on League of Legends!
Patch 11.15 is live and although Akshan is available, Thresh mains like myself really only care about one thing: Thresh.
Two things to note from this patch:
- The new Unbound Thresh skin is only unlockable right now with 300 Sentinels 2021 Tokens. Riot has said the skin will be available for purchase with patch 11.20, but did not comment on the price.
- Thresh was nerfed again. Of course. Flay cooldown has gone up by a second or two depending on level.
With the availability of the Unbound Thresh skin, you’ll have to do a bit of grinding to unlock it right away. Which is actually pretty cool. 300 token is definitely doable with a little bit of playing. Riot doesn’t do this super often with skins. It’s either that or wait a couple weeks and you’ll be able to purchase the skin.
And about the nerf, Riot said:
With all his tools to keep his friends alive, Thresh is one of the best at peeling enemies off of otherwise vulnerable allies. Recently, he’s been dominating Pro play, so we’re curbing his power by targeting his E’s uptime.
I agree and I think Thresh is still as strong as ten body-building Braums in a row. Even after this nerf.
What do you think? Is Thresh still going to be a top support pick? Are you going to be unlocking the new Unbound Thresh skin? Let me know in the comments.
